Day 1
Prague
Today you arrive in Prague, the Czech capital, also known as the "City of One Hundred Spires," with its baroque churches, promenades, parks, and ancient city walls.
The group is met by our local host and tour guide and transferred to the hotel.
In the afternoon, the group has an orientation tour of Golden Prague, including the 1,000 year old Royal Castle of Hradcany and Charles Bridge, as well as other sites of interest. In the evening, there will be a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

Prague
Today’s tour of Jewish interest sites includes a visit to the Old City to view the Josefov, with its Old Town Hall, Alt-Neu, Spanish, and Pinkas Synagogues, the Jewish Cemetery, the State Jewish Museum, and the Astronomical Clock,

Day 3
Prague
Today we pay a visit to Terezin, the former "model" Nazi concentration camp.
The visit includes the Fortress, the Jewish Cemetery, the Museum, the Memorial Monument, the Small Fortress, and the Hidden Synagogue, as well as the town of Terezin itself.

Day 4
Budapest
After breakfast, the group departs to Budapest either by plane or by train.
Situated on opposite banks of the Danube River, the former cities of Buda and Pest are linked by a series of graceful bridges.

Coronation Church |
Day 5
Budapest
After breakfast, the group will take a half a day tour of Budapest.
They will visit the Royal Palace, the Castle Hill area, Fisherman's Bastion, Coronation Church, the Raul Wallenberg Memorial Statue, and Gellert Hill.
In the evening, the group can enjoy an optional cruise on the Danube!

Dohany Synagogue |
Day 6
Budapest
Today, an optional Jewish heritage sightseeing tour begins at the Hero’s Square and continues on to the Dohany Synagogue, which is the second largest synagogue in Europe, the Jewish Cemetery and Museum, and the Holocaust Memorial.
If there is time, we may be able to visit the Parliament, which is an excellent example of Hungarian architecture.

Tatras Mountain |
Day 7
Krakow
The group leaves or by train to Krakow through the lovely hills and countryside of Slovakia, past the Tatras, and into the Great Plains of Poland.
Upon arrival in Krakow, we will visit the Old Market Square, the Museum of Fine Arts where you can see famous paintings by Leonardo DaVinci, and maybe visit the Jagelonian University and visit the Campus Mayus.
We may also be able to see Wawel Castel.
In the evening there will be an optional dinner in a theme restaurant.

Plaszow Camp |
Day 8
Krakow
Today’s full day sightseeing tour of Krakow includes the Jewish district of Kazimierz, the Old Synagogue which is a massive fortress-like building erected in the 15th century, the Remuh Synagogue, and the Temple, which still serves as the center of Jewish religious life in Krakow.
The group will visit also visit the memorial at Plaszow Camp and the site of Oscar Schindler’s factory.

Auschwitz |
Day 9
Krakow/Warsaw
The group departs from Krakow en route to Auschwitz/Birkenau, the infamous Nazi concentration and death camps where many Jews and others perished during the Holocaust.
The group will visit the Museum and pay tribute to the victims.
The bus journey continues to Warsaw.
Overnight in Warsaw.

Day 10
Warsaw
Today’s full day sightseeing tour of Warsaw includes the Nozyk Synagogue (the only surviving synagogue in Warsaw, founded in 1900), the Warsaw Ghetto, the Rappaport Monument, the Jewish resistance bunker at Mila 18, the Stawski Street buildings (where the SS had their headquarters), the Umschlag Platz (the large square where the deportations actually took place), and the Gensa Cemetery.
In the evening, enjoy a special dinner and Chopin concert.

Berlin |
Day 11
Berlin
The group leaves by train or plane early to Berlin, Germany’s capital city, reunited in 1989.
Enjoy a free evening to relax or sightsee.

Jewish Museum |
Day 12
Berlin
Today’s tour includes a visit to the Oranienburgerstrasse, Synagogue Museum, walk through the Mitte, Berlin’s Jewish community, and Germany’s massive Holocaust Memorial.
The group will also see the Brandenburg Gate and newly glass-domed Reichstag - home of the Parliament.
The tour then goes to the restored Potsdamer Platz and the Checkpoint Charlie Museum, recalling the notorious Berlin Wall.
At last the tour reaches the new Jewish Museum, designed by American Daniel Liebeskind.

Day 13
Berlin
In the morning the group heads to the Pergamon Museum, the rest of day is at leisure to shop or sightsee.
There will be an optional evening cultural performance.

Wannsee House |
Day 13
Berlin
After breakfast, the group will enjoy a full-day excursion to Potsdam.
We’ll first start in Wannsee to see where Hitler’s “final solution” was first decided, then we’ll go to Cecilienhoff where the Potsdam treaty was drawn up.
After lunch the guided tour through Potsdam will include the historic parts of the city with its famous Dutch quarter, the Russian Colony Alexandrowka, and the villa districts.
Depending on the time of year the group will visit the Sanssouci Castle with an indoor visit and a stroll through Sanssouci Park.
In the evening the group can enjoy a Farewell Dinner at a leading Berlin restaurant.

Morning transfer to the airport for the return flight home.
