I will never be the same
Scriptures now live anew
No longer words on a page
Spoken by people of my mindMerely written by pious men
These words to live a life by
Giving strength for a Struggling Soul
Believed to be God breathedMuch more I now understand
The 2000 years have started to fade
The Sea of Galilee laps at the boat
The Beatitudes and fish before mePeter James and John stand with me
Listening to the master as he teaches
Love your neighbor as yourself
Blessed are the poor, the meekThose who mourn and are hungry
Those who thirst for righteousness
The merciful and pure in heart
His words now sinking into my heartChanging the dark to light
Being in this Holy Land
I will never be the same
