Day 2 Cairo Upon our arrival in Cairo, we will be met and assisted to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight, Cairo. |

Day 3 Cairo Today we get to explore the Great Pyramids, the largest of which, Cheops, is considered the best of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The monument was built by the Egyptian pharaoh Khufu of the Fourth Dynasty around the year 2560 BC to serve as his tomb. To this day no one has been able to find the burial chamber. We will also visit the amazing Sphinx, which was one of the most prominent symbols of the ancient Egyptians. In the afternoon we’ll get to visit the Bazaars to shop for exotic goods. We’ll return afterwards for dinner and overnight. Overnight, Cairo. |

Day 4 Memphis / Sakkara / Cairo Today we’ll get to tour some of the exciting areas near Cairo. First we’ll visit Memphis founded by Menes, the pharaoh who united Upper and Lower Egypt, in 3100 BC. While there we’ll visit Sakkara, a section in Memphis’ ancient necropolis, which includes several famous gravesites and also the oldest of Egypt’s 97 pyramids. In the afternoon we’ll return to Cairo and visit the Egyptian Museum to learn more about this ancient civilization. Overnight, Cairo. |

Day 5 Cairo After breakfast we’ll begin our journey over land and sea to Aquaba, Jordan. We’ll move first to the town of Kantara on the border of the Suez Canal. Then we’ll drive to the mountain believed to be Mt. Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments, and where the modern-day St. Catherine’s monastery is located. Then we’ll travel to the beautiful city of Aquaba which located on the Red Sea. Overnight, Aquaba. |

Day 6 Petra Drive north to the ancient city of Petra. Petra was first established sometime around the 6th century BC, by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundations of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. Despite successive attempts by the Seleucid king Antigonus, the Roman emperor Pompey and Herod the Great to bring Petra under the control of their respective empires, Petra remained largely in Nabataean hands until around 100AD, when the Romans took over. The reddish-yellow stone which the Nabateans exploited to carve their temples is delicate and can be easily crumble into sand, but Petra remains a testament to their strength and ingenuity. Day 7 Petra / Tiberias Today we leave Jordan and travel to the Holy Land. Visit the ancient city of Madaba, the city of mosaics, known especially for its stunning 6th century mosaic of Jerusalem and the Holy Land Stop at Mt. Nebo, the traditional resting place of Moses. Stop in Jerash, whose ruins lie in the mountains of Gilead, is one of the best preserved examples of a provincial Roman town in all of Jordan. We’ll continue on our journey by crossing the King Hussein Bridge, so named for the King of Jordan dedicated to achieving peace in the Middle East. Then we’ll proceed to our hotel on the Sea of Galilee in Tiberias. Overnight, Tiberias. |

Day 8 Sea of Galilee / The Foot-Steps of Jesus After breakfast we’ll depart for Tiberias where we’ll take a morning Boat Tour of the north shore of the Sea of Galilee. We’ll visit Migdal, the home of Mary Magdalene and see the “Jesus Boat” at Kibbutz Nof Ginosar. We’ll then drive the plain of Ginosar to Tabgha where Jesus “multiplied the loaves and fish.” Next on our stop is the Mount of Beatitudes for Sunday Worship. We’ll proceed to the basalt synagogue at Chorazin to see where Jesus taught and see the “Seat of Moses.” We’ll also view the Natural Amphitheater where Jesus also taught, we’ll visit Capernaum, home of the synagogue of Jesus’ ministry and miracles. Next we’ll cross the Jordan River and visit Bethsaida, home of Peter, Andrea, James and John. We’ll also see the Decapolis and Kursi where Jesus cast the demons out of a man into a heard of swine. We’ll then visit Zippori (Sepphoris), the Roman capital of the Galilee in Jesus’ day where Jesus attended Yeshiva (Jewish Seminary). Then it’s on to Cana, the site of Jesus’ first miracle of changing water into wine. Overnight, Ron Beach Hotel Tiberias. |

Day 9 Hula Basin / Upper Galilee / Golan This morning we’ll pass ancient Hazor through the Hula Basin, known in the Old Testament as the Waters of Merom. We’ll hike in the Dan Nature Preserve and view the rushing Headwaters of the Jordan River. We’ll then visit the Dan of the Old Testament, known as the “Hill of the Judge” to explore the incredible excavations and altar where the golden calf was worshipped by Israel under King Jereboam. From there we’ll take a bus to Caesarea Philippi where Peter said to Jesus “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.” Next we’ll drive to the Golan Heights where we’ll overlook the Jordan Valley and learn about the Golan Arab/Israel conflict (1948-1967). We’ll then see Mt. Hermon where our Lord was Transfigured and drive along the ancient Damascus Road. Next we’ll visit Qazrin and its reconstructed New Testament village. Return to your hotel. Day 10 Tiberias / Jerusalem Today we start our journey southwards from the Galilee to Jerusalem. On the way we’ll stop in Cana, site of Jesus’ first miracle of turning water into wine, then to the archeological gem of Sepphoris, Roman Capital of Galilee in Jesus’ day, where Jesus attended seminary. Drive southwards to Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood hometown. Crossing the Valley of Jezreel continue to Megiddo. 21 battles of the OT were fought in this valley. View the unforgettable prophetic panoramic Armageddon battlefield of Revelation. View the cannanite ruins and see the “chariot cities” of King Solomon and Ahab. Stop atop Mt. Carmel and Muhraka, Elijah’s contest with Jezebel’s Baal prophets. From here you have the best view of the Valley of Jezreel. Continue on the way of the Sea along the coast to visit ancient Roman Caesarea Maritina of Paul and Peter’s experiences on the Mediterranean Coast. In the early evening arrive to Jerusalem. Day 11 Jerusalem We’ll start our tour at the Damascus Gate and walk to the Lion’s Gate. We’ll continue along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We’ll then proceed to the Temple Mount to see the Dome of the Rock, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Western Wall. Next we’ll see the Burnt House and part of the excavation dating from the time of Jesus. We’ll proceed to the Cardo, an excavation of Roman Ruins, and the Jewish Quarter. Afterwards we’ll be able to enjoy shopping in the Arab Shuk, or marketplace. In the afternoon we’ll partake in a prayer service at the Garden Tomb. We’ll return to our hotel. Overnight, Jerusalem. |

Day 12 Jerusalem We start the day with a visit to the model of the Old City of Jerusalem. We then continue to Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and Museum, Visit the Israel Museum-Shrine of the Book to see the priceless Dead Sea Scrolls. Travel to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, for a visit to the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherd’s Fields. Then we’ll return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight, Jerusalem. |

Day 13 Wilderness of Judea / Masada / Dead Sea / Jerusalem We will drive to the desert to visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a Bedouin boy. Our guide will share discoveries relating to Essene Qumran. We’ll overlook the ancient oasis of Ein Gedi (the Goat’s Rocks), where David hid from King Saul. Ascend via cable car up to Massada, one of the most important places in Israel’s history. Learn the incredible story of the Jewish Freedom Fighters who held out against the Romans in 73A.D. The story of the struggle, the excavations, and the view from the top is one unforgettable highlight of our tour. Swim in the Dead Sea. In late afternoon we will drive back to Jerusalem.
