Yehiam

Yehiam Fortress is located in Kibbutz Yehiam, in the western part of the Galilee.

When the kibbutz was settled in 1946, its original residents lived in the fortress ruins. The massive walls protected them when they were under siege during the 1948 War of Independence.

Kala'at Nimrud

Beit Shearim

Beit Shearim is an ancient Jewish city that flourished during Roman times.

It became an important spiritual center when Rabbi Yehuda Hanasi ("Rabbi"), the spiritual authority of the time, made his home there. When he died in the year 220 CE, Rabbi was buried in one of the caves. This precedent made Beit Shearim an important burial place for Jews of Israel and the Diaspora.

Its ruins, located near Haifa on the northern coast of Israel, are spectacular, including a necropolis that archeologists are still excavating.

Safed

Safed is one of the four holy cities of Israel and is to play an important role in the final redemption.

The fact that it is characterized by its orthodox population makes it the perfect spot for a halakic Bar Mitzvah / Bat Mitzvah ceremony.

Between the Arches Restaurant

This restaurant, located in the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem, directly across the square from the Kotel, is the perfect venue for a reception following a ceremony at the Western Wall.

It features kosher dairy cuisine, a stone interior with cathedral ceilings, and elegant table settings.

Note: it can seat only between 40-50 people.

Megiddo

Another excellent location for your Bar Mitzvah / Bat Mitzvah is overlooking the plains at Megiddo, where it is told in the Bible the last battle between good and evil is supposed to take place.

It is one of the most famous battlegrounds in the world; historians believe that more battles were fought at this location than anywhere else on earth.

Yad HaShmona

Nestled in the Judean hills about ten miles west of Jerusalem, Yad HaShmonah is a thriving moshav (communal settlement) composed of Israeli and Finnish believers in Jesus Christ.

Its newly constructed biblical gardens are a perfect if you want your guests to have a first person view of agricultural life in the time of the patriarchs.

The ceremony can be held in the ancient synagogue, and the reception area can be held in the conference hall, the gardens, or in one of two Bedouin tents, all offering spectacular views.
