Friday Upon our arrival into Ben Gurion International we will be met by our guide and proceed to Mini-Israel where we will get our introduction to this amazing country by seeing its sites model-sized! We will then proceed to Tel Aviv where we'll visit the extensive market at Nachlat Binyamin. We'll then check into our hotel for the evening. Overnight, Tel Aviv. |

Saturday After enjoying a delicious Israeli breakfast we will be able to enjoy our day at leisure on the stunning Mediterranean. Consider walking down the Tayelet, or visiting the New Tel Aviv Port and enjoy a delicious meal on the water. Overnight, Tel Aviv. |
Ayalon Institute |
Sunday After breakfast we'll be exploring Israel's social and cultural capital, Tel Aviv. First we’ll head to the port town of Jaffa for a short walk through the old town to a beautiful panoramic view of the city. Next we’ll return to Tel Aviv for a visit to Independence Hall to see a short film about Ben Gurion’s declaration of Israeli Independence in 1948. Afterwards we’ll enjoy a visit to the interactive Palmach Museum(pending confirmation) where we’ll learn about the Israeli War of Independence and the development of the renowned Israeli army. In the afternoon we’ll drive to the nearby Ayalon Institute which served as a munitions factory during the British Mandate. We'll then return to Tel Aviv where the evening will be at leisure. Monday Coastal Route Today we leave Tel Aviv and head northwards to the Galilee. On the way we’ll stop in the ancient Roman city of Caesarea, built by Herod in the first century. It was subsequently inhabited by the Byzantines and the Crusaders, whose influences can be seen in the layers of spectacular ruins. Be sure to check out the myriad of multimedia forums that bring the ancient city to life. Afterwards we’ll travel up Mt. Carmel to Haifa, a beautiful city on the Mediterranean coast. There we can get a stunning panoramic view of the city and the sea down below, as well as visit the beautiful Bahai Hanging Gardens. We’ll then proceed to the crusader city of Acco, where we can walk through the Templar’s Tunnel and see the medieval city walls. Later we’ll move on to the geological wonder of Rosh Hanikra where the Mediterranean Sea carved out beautiful grottos over thousands of years. In the evening we'll be dropped off at our hotel.

Tuesday After breakfast we’ll be exploring the beautiful North of Israel. In the morning we’ll visit the mystical city of Safed, known for its quaint artists’ colony and orthodox population. Then we’ll take a Jeep Ride in the Golan Heights. While there we’ll visit a bunker on Mt. Bental which was used by the Israelis in the ’67 and ’73 wars. Afterwards we’ll visit the ancient site of Katzrin to visit the museum and ruins. We’ll also see the beautiful Menara Cliffs and take a cable car ride for a magnificent panoramic view. We'll then proceed to Rafting on the Jordan River. Afterwards we'll return to our hotel. Overnight, Galilee. |
Kfar Kedem

Wednesday After breakfast we’ll begin our journey southwards to Jerusalem. On the way we'll stop in Kfar Kedem which runs much like a small agricultural community from the time of the patriarchs. There we can mill grain, press olives for oil, and bake bread in the sun, much like our ancestors did. Next we’ll visit the archeological gem of Beit Shean where we can explore the ruins on foot at the base of the tel. On the way into Jerusalem we’ll stop at the Mt. of Olives and say the Shehechiyanu as we overlook the Old City. Overnight, Jerusalem. |
Western Wall |
Thursday Jerusalem, Old City After breakfast we will visit the Old City of Jerusalem. We’ll first walk through the Jewish Quarter and visit the Western Wall. We'll then explore the ancient Rabbinical Tunnels located behind the Wall.We’ll also see the Southern Wall Excavations where we can view steps that lead to the Second Temple. Next we’ll visit the Davidson Center, which brings the Temple Mount ruins to life. We’ll proceed to the Cardo, which was the main street in Jerusalem 2000 years ago, and then do some shopping at the colorful Arab Market. In the afternoon we'll visit the City of David where we'll descend to the ancient city founded by King David, and explore the ancient water systems beneath the city, including the tunnel used by King David and his men to sack the city in the 10th century B.C. We'll return to our hotel for the evening. Overnight, Jerusalem. |

Friday This morning we'll travel to Beit Guvrin to participate in an Archeological "Dig for a Day." In the afternoon we'll stop at a local JNF Forest to Plant a Tree before returning to Jerusalem.
We'll then drive through the orthodox neighborhood of Mea Shearim to see how they prepare for Shabbat. Consider enjoying a Shabbat Dinner together as a family in your hotel. Overnight, Jerusalem. |
Massada

Saturday Dead Sea/Massada Shabbat Shalom! Today we will head southwards for a relaxing day at the Dead Sea. We will stop first in Qumran to see where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found by a Bedouin boy. Afterwards we'll travel to Ein Gedi where hike to the famous waterfall Nahal David. Then it's onto Massada, sight of the Zealots last stand against the Romans in 73 C.E. You’ll take a cable car ride to the top where you can explore the ancient Herodian palaces and synagogue. We’ll then continue on to Dead Sea where we can float in the buoyant waters. In the evening we’ll transfer back to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight, Jerusalem. |
Yad Vashem |
Sunday Today we’ll be taking a tour of the New City of Jerusalem. First we’ll go to Hadassah Hospital to see the striking stained glass windows designed by Marc Chagall. Then we’ll drive past the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, and the beautiful Supreme Court building.
In the afternoon we’ll pay a somber visit to Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial and museum where we can walk through the Children’s Pavilion, visit the Museum, and walk down the Avenue of the Righteous. In the evening we'll transfer to the airport to catch our return flight to the U.S.
