Day 1 Venice We arrive in Venice and are met and transferred by private motorboat to the hotel. After leaving our luggage, we’ll move along to the Jewish Ghetto where we’ll take a walking tour of the Spanish Synagogue, the Levantine Synagogue, the Canton and Italian Synagogue, as well as the Jewish Museum. Afterwards, we’ll lunch at a Kosher Restaurant and take a motorboat back to the hotel. We’ll have some time to rest before taking an Early Evening Gondola Ride on the Grand Canal. Dinner will be at a local restaurant before spending overnight at the hotel. |

Day 2 Venice After breakfast we depart by vaporetto to the Lido Jewish Cemetery. Next we return to Venice to visit the Doge’s Palace, the Campanile, and St. Mark’s Cathedral. Enjoy free time for lunch in the Piazza San Marco before an afternoon visit to the School of San Rocco, or the Scuole, which is a typical Venetian institution. This school/museum is housed in a renaissance building and contains masterpieces by Tintoretto, Titian, and Giorgione. Next we’ll visit the Guggenheim Museum and its great modern art collection and view of the canal. Enjoy an evening free in this romantic city. Be sure to check out some local cuisine. Day 3 Venice/Bologna We depart Venice this morning and travel to Bologna by bus. En route we will stop in Ferra and visit its synagogue, then we’ll continue to Carpi and see the Memorial Museum before viewing the Deportee Fields in nearby Folssoli. We’ll also stop in Modena to visit the Synagogue, the Ducal Palace, and the Cathedral. Then we’ll continue on to the hotel in Bologna for dinner and overnight. |

Day 4 Bologna / Florence After breakfast we’ll take a tour of Bologna being sure to stop at the Piazza Magiore, the Fountain of Neptune, the Basilica of St. Petronius, the Palazzo Communale, and the Old Synagogue and Jewish Museum. Then we’ll lunch on our own before departing for Florence. After checking into our hotel, we’ll take a walking tour of the Ponte Vecchio we’re we can see the spectacular works of famous jewelers as well as visiting the Piazza della Signoria. We’ll enjoy dinner at a restaurant before returning to the hotel for overnight. |

Day 5 Florence After breakfast we’ll partake in a full day of sightseeing including the Jewish Museum, the spectacular Duomo, the Academy where Michelangelo’s famous sculpture the David is kept, the Bargello, the Medici Chapels, and Santa Croce. Lunch will be on our own before returning to the hotel before Shabbat Services. Afterwards we’ll enjoy a Shabbat Dinner at the synagogue before returning to the hotel for overnight. |

Day 6 Florence In the morning there will be optional Shabbat Services at the synagogue. Then we’ll take a walking tour of the Uffizi Gallery and the Pitti Palace. The balance of the day is at your leisure. Overnight, Florence. |

Day 7 Florence / Rome After breakfast we’ll depart Florence for Rome. We’ll stop in Siena to visit the medieval city and the monumental Piazza del Campo, shaped like fan. Heading south towards Rome, we’ll also stop in Orvieto, a beautiful medieval hilltop town. We’ll then lunch at a local restaurant before arriving in Rome. We’ll check into the hotel, then enjoy dinner and an evening free in the eternal city. Overnight, Rome. |

Day 8 Rome Be sure to bring your cameras because after breakfast we’re visiting the ancient ruins of the Coliseum and the Roman Forum. Also included in our full day tour of the city is the Church of St. Pietro where we can see the Moses by Michelangelo. We’ll lunch at a restaurant before taking an afternoon walk to the Pantheon, the Piazza Navona, and the Fontana dei Trevi. The evening and dinner will be on our own. Overnight, Rome. |

Day 9 Rome After breakfast we’ll take a tour to the Fosse Adriante, the Synagogue, and the Jewish Museum. Enjoy a free afternoon for some last minute shopping and sightseeing. This evening we’ll host our Farewell Dinner before spending our last night in Rome. |
Day 10 Rome / US Transfer to the airport for your return flight home. |
