Day 2 Johannesburg We arrive at Johannesburg International Airport where we will be met and transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day is free to shop, relax, and dine in mile high Johannesburg. Overnight, Johannesburg. |

Day 3 Johannesburg This morning we will visit the Madiba Museum set in the Dube Village where Nelson and Winnie Mandela lived in 1948. On the same street is another Nobel Peace Prizewinner’s home, that of Bishop Desmond Tutu. Next, enjoy a traditional meal at Wandie’s Place in Soweto. We will then continue our extensive tour of Soweto, visiting the Hector Peterson Memorial and drive by Walter Sisulu’s house. Overnight, Johannesburg. |

Day 4 Johannesburg After breakfast we will travel to the Gold Reef City. The village depicts the life at the time of the discovery of gold in 1886. Enjoy a gold pour, going down a mineshaft, tribal dancing, and much more. Then to Soweto to visit the Johannesburg Child Welfare run Otwandeni Orphanage and hand out dolls. We will return briefly to the hotel. In the evening we will go to the Randburg Waterfront for our meal. Overnight, Johannesburg. |

Day 5 Johannesburg The morning is free for shopping. Spend some time bargaini hunting at the Bruma Lake Flea Market. There, entertainment abounds including some tribal dancing. In the afternoon we will visit the Lesedi Cultural Village at the Halfway House. The village represents a small tribal Ndebele Village, which has a great feel for color and paints the exterior of their homes with bright pleasing patterns. Overnight, Johannesburg. |

Day 6 Johannesburg This morning we will make our way to Soweto’s Eldorado Park for a church service at the Nancefield Baptist Church. We will lunch and then transfer to the Johannesburg airport for a flight to Cape Town. We will be met and transferred to our hotel. Overnight, Cape Town. |

Day 7 Cape Town After breakfast, we will visit the St. Anne’s Home Daycare Center for poor and often abused children in Woodstock. Lunch will be served at the Harbour House Restaurant in Fish Hoek. Then to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where the rare Bontebok roams and Cape Point, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. There will be a vehicular ride to the point to spare you the arduous walk. Return along a stunning coastal drive, where the road hugs the mountainside with the sea far below. Overnight, Cape Town. |

Day 8 Cape Town This morning is at leisure in “the most beautiful cape on the circumference of the Earth” (Sir Francis Drake). There will be time for shopping at the downtown Green Market Square and the Pan African Market. Visit the exciting Victoria and Alfred Waterfronts. Courtesy buses to the waterfront are available every 20 minutes. We will visit a traditional healer, listen to a school band, and enjoy a walking tour of Langa. We’ll enjoy a meal at Lelaoa African restaurant. Finally, we move off to Riffs for live jazz. (Events are subject to change, due to availability of artists). Overnight, Cape Town. |

Day 9 Cape Town This morning we will visit the Wolmanni Women’s AIDS Project. Then on to the nearby Imkamvul L’Bantu Ndebele doll making project to exchange some doll making ideas. We continue then to Table Mountain for a cable car ride up to the top of Cape Town’s famous landmark. The revolving cable car and the top of the mountain offer amazing views of the stunning city. Overnight, Cape Town. |

Day 10 This morning we will travel to the fascinating Philani Flagship project crossroads. Then we will present the children at the In House Creche with dolls. The group will continue to the Victoria and Alfred waterfront to board a ferry for a tour of Robben Island. At the end of the 3-hour tour, enjoy the approaching sunset and the opportunity to photograph the stunning Table Mountain. In the evening the group will celebrate with a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight, Cape Town. |
Day 11 Departure Today we begin our journey back home with memories to cherish for a lifetime. |
