Sample Itinerary
	Day 1 Enroute Departure for overnight flight.

Charles Bridge	Day 2 Prague Arrival in Prague, the Czech capital, also known as the "City of One Hundred Spires," with its baroque churches, promenades, parks, and ancient city walls. The group is met by our local host and tour guide and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, the group has an orientation tour of Golden Prague, including the 1,000 year old Royal Castle of Hradcany, the Astronomical Clock, and the Charles Bridge, as well as other sites of interest. In the evening, a welcome dinner can be arranged. Overnight in Prague.

Spanish Synagogue	Day 3 Prague Sightseeing tour of Jewish interest sites including a visit to the Old City to view the Josefov, Prague’s Jewish town, with its Old Town Hall, Alt-Neu Synagogue, the Spanish Synagogue, the Pinkas Synagogue, the Jewish Cemetery, the State Jewish Museum, and the Astronomical Clock. Overnight in Prague.

Small Fortress	Day 4 Terezin Visit to Terezin, the former “model” Nazi concentration camp. The visit includes the fortress, the Jewish cemetery, the Museum, the Memorial Monument, the small fortress, and the hidden synagogue, as well as the town of Terezin itself. Overnight in Prague.

Budapest	Day 5 Prague/Budapest After breakfast, the group departs to Budapest either by plane, train or by deluxe bus. Situated on opposite banks of the Danube river, the former cities of Buda and Pest are linked by a series of graceful bridges. The group will take a half a day tour of Budapest. They will visit the Royal Palace, the Castle Hill area, Fisherman’s Bastion, Coronation Church, Hero’s Square, and Gellert Hill. In the evening, the group can enjoy an optional cruise on the Danube! Overnight in Budapest.

Raul Wallenberg Memorial Statue	Day 6 Budapest An optional Jewish heritage sightseeing tour begins at the Raul Wallenberg Memorial Statue and continues to the Dohany Synagogue, the second largest synagogue in Europe, the Jewish cemetery and museum, and the Holocaust Memorial. As an alternative, the group would take a tour to Danube Bend and visit various interesting sites. The group will attend Shabath Service at the Dohany Synagogue followed by Dinner at the Kinor David Kosher Restaurant, both located walking distance from the hotel. Overnight in Budapest.

Danube River	Day 7 Budapest Shabbat services for those that want to attend. Day at leisure. In the evening, optional cruise on the Danube. Overnight in Budapest.

Krakow	Day 8 Budapest/Krakow After breakfast the group departs by train to Krakow through the lovely hills and countryside of Slovakia, past the Tatras, and into the Great Plains of Poland. Upon arrival in Krakow, we will visit the Old Market Square, the Museum of Fine Arts where you can see famous paintings by Leonardo DaVinci, and maybe visit the Jagelonian University and visit the Campus Mayus. We may also be able to see Wawel Castel. In the evening there will be an optional dinner in a theme restaurant. Overnight in Krakow.

Monument at the Plaszow Concentration Camp	Day 9 Krakow The full day guided sightseeing tour of Krakow includes the Jewish district of Kazimierz, the Old Synagogue, a massive fortress-like building erected in the 15th century. The Remuh Synagogue still in service as the center of religious life in Krakow. We see the Ghetto set up by the Nazis in 1941, the monument at the Plaszow Concentration Camp and Schindler’s factory. The group will make a special stop at the new exhibit at the “under the eagle” pharmacy located in the heart of the district where the Nazis forced 17,000 Jews to live from 1941-1943. This exhibit documents the history of the ghetto and has been sponsored by the Spielberg foundation. The pharmacy was run by Tadeusz Pankievicz, who was the only non-Jewish Pole, living in the ghetto and supplied Jews with food and medicine. The Wawel Castle, St. Mary’s Church, the Renaissance Cloth Hall and other ancient landmarks are also included in the tour. Overnight in Krakow.

Warsaw	Day 10 Krakow/Warsaw The group departs from Krakow (with the guide) en route to Auschwitz/Birkenau, the infamous Nazi concentration camps, where many Jews and others perished during World War II. The group visits the Museum and pay tribute to the victims. The group continues to Warsaw. Overnight in Warsaw.

Warsaw Ghetto	Day 11 Warsaw The Full day guided sightseeing tour of Warsaw includes the Nozyk Synagogue (the only surviving synagogue in Warsaw, founded in 1900), Chopin’s Monument, the Warsaw Ghetto, the Rappaport Monument, the Jewish Resistance Bunker at Mila 18, Stawski Street buildings (where the SS had their headquarters), the Umschlag Platz (the large square where the deportations actually took place), and the Gensa Cemetery. The cemetery was established in 1806 and contains the graves of about 250,000 people, including Torah scholars and other Jewish leaders. It is known as the largest cemetery in Poland. In the afternoon there is a tour of the Jewish Historical Institute to trace history beginning before the war. In the evening, enjoy a special dinner and Chopin concert. Overnight in Warsaw.

Wannsee House	Day 12 Warsaw/Berlin The group leaves by deluxe bus early to Berlin, Germany’s capital city, reunited in 1989. Enjoy a free evening to relax or sightsee. Overnight in Berlin.

Brandenburg Gate	Day 13 Berlin Today’s tour includes a visit to the Oranienburgerstrasse Synagogue Museum, the Brandenburg Gate, the restored and newly glass-domed Reichstag-home of the Parliament, and the site of Germany’s massive Holocaust Memorial under construction in the heart of the city. The group also sees the Holocaust Memorial in Wittenberg Paltz and the Kaethe Kollwitz Museum. Overnight in Berlin.

Potsdam	Day 14 Berlin After breakfast, the group enjoys a full-day excursion to Potsdam. The guided tour through Potsdam will include the historic parts of the city with its famous Dutch quarter, the Russian Colony Alexandrowka, and the villa districts. The group will visit the Sanssouci Castle with an indoor visit and a stroll through Sanssouci Park. The Chinese Teahouse, the Roman baths, Charlottenhof Palace, and the Belvedere Towers can be visited all year. Optional lunch at a restaurant close to the park of Sanssouci. In the evening the group can enjoy a farewell dinner at a leading Berlin restaurant. Overnight in Berlin.

Pergamon Museum	Day 15 Berlin Day at leisure. Overnight in Berlin.

Jewish Museum	Day 16 Berlin After breakfast the group leaves for a tour of Berlin beginning at the restored Potsdamer Platz and Checkpoint Charlie Museum, recalling the notorious Berlin Wall. The group will visit the Jewish Museum designed by Daniel Liebeskind. The tour continues with a visit to Wansee, site of the infamous “Final Solution” decision with its memorial museum. They will also see the Palace of Frederick the Great. In the evening the group will enjoy a Farewell Dinner. Overnight in Berlin.

	Day 17 Departure After breakfast, the group will leave for the airport for their flight home.
