Day 2

Petra

Today you visit Jordan's most exciting site. Petra was carved out of the craggy rock mountains south of the Dead Sea by the Nabataean traders more than 2000 years ago. Travel by horseback or carriage through a narrow defile or sig; the sudden view of the spectacular Khazneh or Treasury is dramatic. See the gigantic Deir or Monastery, the High Place and the Roman-styled Palace Tomb. (BD)

Day 3

Petra/Kerak/Mt. Nebo/Madaba/Amman

Drive back to Amman. En route you will visit the crusader Castle of Kerak, the historic Mt. Nebo, where Moses was allowed to view the Promised Land from here. Madaba, where the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Land exists. (BD)

Day 4

Amman

Visit Jerash, the most exquisite Greco-Roman City built in 130 A.D. By Hadrian. Proceed then to the Temple of Zeus; the restored South Theatre and the temple of Artemis, built in 150 A.D. to honor Jerash's patron goddess. (BD)

Amman - Depart

Transfer to airport for departure. (B)

Day 1

Eilat - Wadi Rum

*Pick up at your hotel in Eilat or Eilat Airport

Transfer to the Arava Border, and after completing the border formalities, travel to Wadi Rum. You shall pass the famous seven pillars of wisdom, described by Lawrence of Arabia and explore Wadi Rum by jeep, escorted by a Bedouin guide. You shall see the house where Lawrence of Arabia lived, and the inscriptions made by the Thamudic and Nabatean people centuries ago. And you may even climb one of the natural rock bridges. And evening travel down to Petra check in at the Hotel.

Overnight at 3*, 4*, or 5* Hotel.

Day 2

Petra - Eilat

In the morning a local guide will escort you into Petra and show you the highlights of the Nabatean city. You will enter the city through the Siq and be rewarded with the most astonishing and dramatic monument in Jordan: the Treasury. You will also visit the theatre, the tombs and façades and the colonnaded street.

In the evening transfer you Aqaba free time for shopping and to south border and departure back to Eilat.

Day 1

Transfer to the Arava Border, and after completing the border formalities, enter the Rose Red City.

Start your tour by walking through the narrow define into the rock-cut city of Petra (The Siq), the most wondrous of all ancient sites, built over 2,000 years ago by the Nabateans where you can see the treasury (Al-Khazneh) then walk through the Romans columns and see the theater. Continue on to visit Qasr El-Bint. Stay a little longer and visit the mysterious High place of Sacrifice or the Monastery, then transfer back to Arava border for departure back to Eilat.
