Who are we?
AIST is a division of Gil Travel of Philadelphia. We have been in business since 1974 and have sponsored over 1,000,000 client trips both domestically and internationally. We are specialists in International Group Travel. In the last fifteen years over 100,000 young people, both University and High School students, have traveled safely with us to various international destinations in Europe, the Middle East and South America.
A full team of professionals who have extensive careers in Student Travel, Youth Programs, Travel and Resident Camping and Formal and Informal Educational Programming staffs our new Student Division, AIST.
What are we all about?
At AIST we believe in a non-traditional approach to Travel Services.
First, we are committed to the idea that the client wants options from which to choose. It is all about the client and his/her expectations.

Second, we offer a range of destinations that are exciting, unique and different from what one might expect. Each destination is chosen because it offers a range of fun activities that will challenge the mind and spirit. At most of our destinations there is the beach, the sun and the surf and at the same time one has the opportunity to experience the romance of exotic European and South American cities, filled with history, mystery and excitement. Some of our programs are designed to give a range of experiences with different cultures and incredible sites as well as the world of European University Student life. Each destination comes with a basic package that includes airfare, hotel and breakfasts. There is also an option for a full package program at each destination that offers a comprehensive touring program, meals and evening entertainment. Finally at each destination one can purchase any component of the comprehensive package program on an a la carte basis.
Both U.S. and local AIST representatives staff each destination. All Programs have professional tour guides as well as American hosts who will accompany the group. There are on site personnel available 24/7.
One other important point: AIST provides full Insurance coverage for each client. Health and Accident Insurance, Baggage Insurance and Trip Cancellation Insurance are included in the cost of all programs.
