Friday, April 27th

Welcome to Israel.

Upon our early morning arrival to Ben Gurion Airport, we will be met and escorted to the ancient Roman city of Caesarea where we can explore the extensive ruins via a myriad of interactive multimedia forums. There, discover the excavated Roman harbor, amphitheater and Crusader fortress.

Then we will continue to Zichron Yaacov for lunch and wine tasting in one of the historic town’s great wine tasting restaurants (Tishbi or similar).

Afterwards, we’ll continue to mystical Safed where we’ll check into our hotel and enjoy some free time. In the evening, we will enjoy Kabbalat Shabbat and Shabbat Dinner together at our hotel.

Saturday, April 28th

Shabbat Shalom!

In honor of the Sabbath we’ll be spending our day at leisure.

There will be an optional walking tour of the Old City of Safed available.

Tonight we will enjoy dinner together at our hotel with a speaker about Kabbalah to learn how mysticism and mystical experiences have been a part of Judaism since the earliest days.

Sunday, April 29th: Day 1 of Bike Ride

Safed/Northern Border/Kfar Giladi

Today, we’ll begin our bike ride in the north.

We will ride through Safed, the center of Jewish mysticism (kabbalah) and continue riding through the beautiful north of the country to the Northern Border and Kibbutz Kfar Giladi. Total ride today – 60 kilometers, or 38 miles.

Along the way we’ll make 2 refreshing stops to enjoy the stunning views and eat lunch.

Sites include (specify any others) the Golan Heights as you follow the battle trails along which the Israeli Army progressed during the 1967 Six-Day War.

Explore the former Syrian army headquarters and positions overlooking the Galilee.

An optional additional bike ride in the afternoon will be available.

This evening, we’ll enjoy dinner with the head of the Regional Council.

Monday, April 30h: Day 2 of Bike Ride

Boker Tov!

After a delicious breakfast we depart from Hagoshrim and continue riding in the north to Mount Hermonit, proceeding to the ancient Talmudic village of Katzrin, and the stunning Sea of Galilee. We will ride a total of 65 kilometers, or 40 miles, today.

As on day 1, we’ll make two stops to refresh, appreciate the beautiful landscape, and enjoy lunch.

We’ll also have the opportunity to visit the village of Katzrin to see the magnificent excavations and ancient synagogues there.

Then, opt to participate in an afternoon bike ride.

Tonight, we will ride on an exciting boat ride in the Sea of Galilee, followed by dinner together at the wonderful seaside restaurant, Decks.

Tuesday, May 1st: Day 3 of Bike Ride

Upper Tiberias Junction

This morning we will continue our bike tour through Tiberias and the beautiful Zichron Yaacov region. The pleasant town in the southern hills of the Carmel Mountains is reminiscent of the small farming village that was established in 1882 by a group of Romanian immigrants.

Originally called Zammarin, the new settlement was taken over by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, who took a personal and financial interest in its future, and renamed it Zichron Ya'akov, or Jacob's Memory, in honor of his father. Today we will ride 67 kilometers, or 42 miles, stopping for lunch and a rest.

After our ride, we will have dinner together at a wine bar at the old reconstructed district of Zichron Yaacov.

An optional afternoon bike ride will be available.

Wednesday, May 2nd: Day 4 of Bike Ride

Zichron Yaakov, Caesarea, Herziliya

Today we’ll ride through Zichron Yaakov down the gorgeous Mediterranean coast via Caesarea and Herziliya.

We will stop at various places along the way to rest, enjoy lunch, and take in the stunning sea views!

Today, we will also have the option to participate in an afternoon bike ride.

This evening, enjoy dinner together at Sea View Restaurant.

Rabin Medical Center

Tayelet (Promenade), Tel Aviv

Thursday, May 3rd: Day 5 of Bike Ride

Ending at Rabin Medical Center

Continue our bike tour south ending at Rabin Medical Center in Petach Tikva for a total of 20 kilometers or 12 miles.

Then we will return to our hotel by bus.

In the evening, we will check-out and travel to Ben Gurion International Airport to catch our return flight to the U.S.
