Fascinating Ideas Concerning the FIRST CHRISTMAS and the Probable Menu for the FIRST CELEBRATION!

CULINARY IN ISRAEL
A FEAST FOR THE FIRST CHRISTMAS!! At a time of the year when CUISINE BLOGS are awash with recipes for cookies and “roast beast” for the CHRISTMAS FEAST, here is a notional menu for what the FIRST CHRISTMAS REPAST might have actually been like!
First up would be Jesus’ actual birth-date which was more likely in late September. Second is the social class of the family and the observance of Kosher dietary laws. Joseph and Mary were Jews, the time of the year was quite comfortable and BETHLEHEM was a fertile at a good altitude and with much more rainfall than the rest of ISRAEL so food would be plentiful.
