Gil Travel brought you Pesach in the East, Tokyo 2025. We now proudly present Pesach in the South 2026 — the first ever luxury Passover program in Argentina.
Experience an unforgettable five-star Pesach in South America’s most vibrant capital — Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hosted at the elegant Hilton Buenos Aires in the exclusive Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires’ most elegant waterfront district, the Hilton combines contemporary sophistication with warm Argentine charm. The rooms are spacious, overlooking the city or river, with a rooftop pool, fitness center, and easy access to lush parks and scenic promenades.
From the cobblestone streets of San Telmo to the wide boulevards of Recoleta and the colorful houses of La Boca, Buenos Aires pulses with music, flavor, and soul. This is where Europe meets Latin America — where tango dancers perform beneath grand architecture and café culture comes alive well into the night.
Just as Tokyo was the “Land of the Rising Sun,” Buenos Aires is its perfect counterpart — the antipode of Japan — where the sun sets on the opposite side of the world, and a new chapter of Jewish travel begins.
Our program takes place in the Hilton’s beautifully appointed ballrooms and salons of the Buen Ayre Banquet center, reserved entirely for our group’s exclusive use, featuring a private lobby lounge and round the clock tea and refreshments bar — a warm, private family environment throughout Yom Tov.
Join us for the perfect Pesach with lavish Seders, inspiring Tefillot and Shiurim, and a truly joyous and memorable Yom Tov — all while enjoying the vibrant rhythm and energy of Argentina.
Buenos Aires is a city of contrast and connection — old-world charm and modern energy, European grace and South American passion.
Discover its timeless landmarks: the Casa Rosada, the Teatro Colón, and La Boca, and immerse yourself in its culture — from tango and gauchos to world-class art and cuisine.
Our program blends the excitement of urban exploration with the warmth of Jewish tradition.
Enjoy daily Shiurim and Minyanim, a children’s program, and optional babysitting services, all conveniently located within the Hilton’s dedicated event spaces.
During Chol Hamoed, explore Buenos Aires and beyond with our curated tours — led by professional, English-speaking local tour educators — to discover Argentina’s rich history, Jewish heritage, and natural beauty. (Scroll down below for more tour info).
Shabbat and Yom Tov is no time to rest… Engaging guided walking tours will be enough to fill your days between Tfilot and gourmet Seudot.
Evenings come alive with special entertainment, live music, and cultural performances — each adding a touch of Argentine flair to your holiday experience. Once again, special surprises will be part of your experience throughout the duration of the program. (Scroll down below for more entertainment and programming info)
Pesach in the South features cuisine curated and executed by the renowned Ilana Mizrahi Catering — one of Argentina’s most respected and experienced kosher catering services. Known throughout the country for their impeccable standards and artistry, Ilana Mizrahi blends authentic Argentine ingredients with refined international presentation — for Pesach, all non-Kitniyot and non-Gebrokts — to create a truly world-class culinary experience.
By blending top-tier culinary techniques with traditional Argentine flavors, and kosher-for-Pesach ingredients, the meals are so exceptional you’ll forget they’re even kosher for Pesach.
From lavish holiday banquets to creative themed dinners, every meal is a culinary experience.
Expect Argentine-style barbecue (Asado!) reimagined for Pesach, South American empanadas, Alfajores Mediterranean favorites, and indulgent desserts — all beautifully presented in true Gil Travel style.
Throughout the day, you’ll enjoy our elegant Tea & Refreshments Lounge, featuring fresh pastries and snacks.

Jewish Heritage Tour of Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires is home to the largest Jewish community in Latin America and one of the most vibrant in the world. With nearly 200,000 Jewish residents, the city’s Jewish story stretches back to the sixteenth century, when Spanish and Portuguese settlers first arrived, and grew through successive waves of immigration from Eastern Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. Today, the community is a rich mosaic of Ashkenazi and Sephardic traditions, sustained through thriving synagogues, schools, theaters, and cultural institutions.
Our guided tour begins at the AMIA Community Center, the heart of Jewish life in Argentina and a moving site of remembrance following the tragic 1994 bombing. Nearby, the Once District reveals daily Jewish life, with kosher restaurants, Judaica shops, and community centers that reflect generations of Argentine-Jewish heritage. The area’s warmth and energy illustrate how Jewish culture remains deeply woven into the fabric of the city.
Continue to Templo Libertad, the first synagogue built in Buenos Aires and home to the Jewish Museum of Argentina, housing artifacts and exhibits that trace centuries of Jewish presence in the country. Visit the majestic Templo Paso, one of Buenos Aires’ largest and most active synagogues, known for its impressive architecture and vibrant congregation. The tour also includes the Holocaust Museum of Buenos Aires and the Anne Frank Museum, two powerful institutions dedicated to education and remembrance. The experience concludes in the Belgrano neighborhood, known for its synagogues and community centers, offering a complete picture of a community that has persevered, flourished, and continues to enrich Argentina’s cultural soul.

Tigre & The Paraná Delta – Nature and River Life
Less than an hour from Buenos Aires lies Tigre, a charming riverside town and gateway to the vast Paraná Delta — a natural labyrinth of islands, canals, and lush vegetation where life moves to the rhythm of the water. Known as an ecological paradise, the Delta offers a peaceful contrast to city life, blending nature and culture in perfect harmony.
Board a comfortable boat for a scenic cruise through the tranquil waterways, where you’ll pass stilted houses, floating schools and churches, and gardens framed by willows and ceibos. Along the way, admire iconic landmarks such as the elegant Tigre Art Museum, the historic Rowing Clubs, and the Sarmiento Museum, all set against a backdrop of shimmering water and tropical greenery.
After returning to port, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Puerto de Frutos market, a vibrant arts-and-crafts bazaar filled with local creations, handmade décor, and traditional Argentine products. It’s a perfect way to end the day — surrounded by color, music, and the easygoing charm that makes Tigre one of the most beloved destinations in Argentina.

Gil Travel's Pesach in the South program stands apart from typical Pesach programs. Whereas many traditional programs are centered around hotel amenities such as endless more-than-you-can-eat food bars, magicians, singers, and poolside entertainment, we understand that our guests are not coming all the way to the Argentina to spend their time in a hotel.
Our focus is to offer a truly unique experience that extends beyond the hotel — an opportunity to explore a country where European charm meets South American passion. All this while ensuring you and your family enjoy a luxurious, world-class vacation and Yom Tov celebration, with no compromise on comfort or tradition.
For our participants who prefer exploring at their own pace and with specific interests, Gil Travel will provide a comprehensive resource guide for touring and exploring, and many suggestions to help you maximize your Chol Hamoed excursions.
Buenos Aires has an extensive public transportation network, and taxis and Uber's are very low priced in relation to US and European rates.
For those who want full service experience, you may sign up for our exclusive (separate cost), led by professional and knowledgeable guides- the perfect way to discover the rich culture and history of Argentina as well as its Jewish history and modern Jewish life in Buenos Aires.
Our program offers a rare opportunity to glimpse into Argentina’s vibrant cultural mosaic and its deep Jewish heritage. One of the most cosmopolitan cities in South America, Buenos Aires blends European sophistication with Latin passion—grand boulevards and ornate architecture coexist with lively street markets, colorful tango dancers, and cafés that echo with music and conversation late into the night.
You may indulge in the 5-star amenities of our luxury hotel, but we encourage you to step outside and explore. Stroll through the tree-lined streets of Recoleta, enjoy an afternoon in Palermo’s parks, or relax in a traditional Argentine spa before savoring world-class kosher dining in the city’s renowned Jewish quarter (most relevant for those coming before or after Pesach).
Instead of limiting your activity to the fitness center or pool, immerse yourself in Argentina’s breathtaking nature and culture. Discover Tigre’s waterways by boat, visit the historic La Boca neighborhood with its famous Caminito street of colorful cobblestones, or take a day trip to the Pampas for an authentic gaucho experience.
Explore Argentina’s rich Jewish history, from the arrival of early immigrants who helped build the community in the 19th century to the thriving institutions and synagogues that make Buenos Aires home to one of the largest Jewish populations in the world. You can also learn about the remarkable contributions of Argentina’s Jewish leaders, artists, and educators throughout the country’s history.
Be sure to experience Buenos Aires’ iconic sites—the Casa Rosada, Teatro Colón, Plaza de Mayo, and the MALBA Museum—and immerse yourself in the rhythm of the city through an unforgettable tango performanceor an evening stroll along the Puerto Madero waterfront.
Argentina is a land of passion and harmony—a country where European elegance meets South American warmth, and where tradition and modern life intertwine beautifully. Whether you join our guided tours, or choose to explore on your own, you’re sure to be inspired by the spirit, flavor, and soul of Buenos Aires.
Every day of the program includes unique and engaging experiences. The full schedule is still in progress of being finalized. Some of the experiences you can look forward to are Argentinean cultural activities such as preparing and enjoying traditional Mate, hands on Fileteado porteño workshop, and Authentic Argentinean wine tasting.
Other entertainers are also on the agenda. However, we want to stress what has been mentioned above, that the Pesach in the South program is unlike most 'typical Passover programs'. We recognize the fun and relaxation aspects of the resort and entertainment type of programs. Those are GREAT! But most of our guests have done those in the past and are seeking something truly unique this year.
Lounging around in a luxury resort and endlessly satisfying gastronomic cravings with food bars at every corner, and non stop entertainers, does not warrant traveling to the literal other side of the world.
Likewise, the families joining our program with children are not seeking an 'out of this world' day camp experience to drop their kids off at. Buenos Aires is a family friendly destination, and especially for children and teens can create magical memories.
Our program is designed to help our guests maximize this special opportunity to explore a country that would usually be challenging for a Kosher traveler on Pesach.
Of course, all of this being done without compromising on comfort and luxury, in the world class 5 star Hilton Buenos Aires and all the expected amenities and comforts our guests have come to expect from a high end Pesach program.
The Pesach in the South program runs from Erev Pesach, April 1st, 2026 until 11am, Friday morning, April 10th.
Early arrival and extended stay, with Kosher meals are available at an additional cost from March 30th, and extending until April 13th. Please inquire for details.
While you’re already in Argentina, it’s the perfect opportunity to extend your stay and explore more of this incredible country.
From the breathtaking Iguazú Falls in the north to the scenic wine country of Mendoza or the dramatic landscapes of Patagonia in the south, Argentina offers endless wonders to discover.
Contact us if you’re interested in full tour packages before or after the Pesach program — our team will be happy to help craft the perfect extension for your journey.
During Shabbat and Yom Tov days, there is a fun children's program and babysitting during the morning Tefillot and the long afternoons.
Responsible and experienced counselors run fun activities, games, tefillot, and indoor as well as outdoor activities. There is a beautiful and very large park and playground for the children to enjoy the southern hemisphere's early fall season even during the Chag. Of course, all the hotel's regular amenities are available to all our guests.
Optional child care is also available at an extra cost for the Chol Hamoed days for children who will not be touring with their parents.
Chol Hamoed will be the best opportunity to travel and explore Buenos Aires and beyond. But even on Shabbat and Yom Tov there will be plenty to enjoy.
For those interested in touring, there will be engaging walking tours around the area of the hotel, in Puerto Madero. There is much of Buenos Aires to discover even in the few mile radius of the program!
Every day will also have classes, lectures or workshops on various topics related to Argentina, Pesach and other topics.
Absolutely!
We do want to be clear what to expect in this regard:
Although some Pesach programs highlight the resort or hotel activities, and offer elaborate day camps and children's program, in all honesty, that's not what Pesach in the South is about.
We don't feel it's necessary to take your children half way around the world in order to send them to a day camp and to lounge at a pool or watch entertainers (although we do agree that is also fun!), there are many programs much closer to most homes for that
As explained above, Pesach in the South is a unique opportunity to discover a world often very little known to most. This includes children.
Most of the tours and excursions are family friendly and have plenty of engaging interest for children of most ages. Learning about and seeing close-up people of a different culture and way of life is something that will have a memorable impact on your entire family.
