Now, let’s travel from an old neighborhood to the first Hebrew-speaking neighborhood built in 1887, Neve Tzedek. Continue to Nahalat Benyamin, where you can enjoy live street music, arts, crafts, and handmade jewelry. These colorful streets are especially known for their unique shops, café life, and youthful ambiance.

Explore your roots at the ANU Museum of the Jewish People. ANU connects Jewish people to their roots and strengthens their personal and collective Jewish identity. Begin your day with a visit to Beit Guvrin national park, declared by UNESCO as a world heritage site, and explore archaeological remains and unique caves.

Continue to the Gaza Envelope, where the events of October 7, 2023 left a deep and lasting impact. Visit a lookout over the Gaza border to understand the proximity and vulnerability of the communities living here. Then stop at a roadside shelter along Route 232, where Aner Shapira displayed remarkable heroism while saving others. Visit the Nova Festival site near Re’im, where a peaceful gathering was transformed into a scene of unimaginable tragedy. Pay respects and hear the story of the young lives lost and the resilience shown in its aftermath.

In Sderot, visit the site of the city’s former police station, one of the first places targeted during the assault and a symbol of the fierce battles that took place.

Drive to Tiberias to visit Rambam’s grave; Continue through the Jordan valley to Beit Shean, known as “Scythopolis”, and see the fascinating excavated remains from the Roman and Byzantine periods.

From there, journey to Qasr al Yahud, the traditional site where the Israelites crossed the Jordan River into the Promised Land.

Continue via the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem; Stop at Mount Scopus for a blessing as you enter the city.

Proceed to Mount Herzl, named after the founder of modern Zionism, to pay your respect to some of the nation’s more influential figures. Continue to Yad Vashem – the museum that tells the stories of the Holocaust commemorates the lives of those who perished and survived its atrocities and ends with a
breathtaking view of Jerusalem.

Ascend Masada by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue, and bathhouse. Descend by cable car.

Next, stop for a “Lunch and Swim” at the spa facilities in one of the leading hotels in the area and enjoy a float in the mineral-rich Dead Sea.

Straight to Petra, the astonishing rose-red city was built by the Nabateans (An early Arab tribe). Petra was renowned for its massive architecture, pools, dams, and water channels. The visit begins with the possibility of a short horseback ride. Petra is famous for its huge monuments such as the treasury, royal tombs, the court, roman theatre, roman street, Qasser el- Bint (Palace of Pharaoh’s daughter), and many other smaller monuments which fascinate the visitors. The city is considered to be the second wonder of the world.

After the visit, it’s time for lunch in a nice restaurant.

On the way, enjoy a short visit to Aqaba with the possibility to stop and take a walk around.
