Suitable for Family, Group, Senior

OVERVIEW

Engage all the senses on a Jewish heritage tour of Paris.

The first documented evidence of Jews in Paris was 582, and by then the community already had a synagogue. The history since has been marked by expulsions and returns and by emancipation during the time of Napolean. Home of the famous Dreyfus Affair, several Jewish Nobel prizewinners and newer Jewish communities of North African Jews and Eastern European Jews, the city is a fascinating mix of history and community.

Get to know members of the largest Jewish community in Europe. Learn their stories and their histories as you discover the city of light through a Jewish lens.

Take a pastry class with a Jewish chef in the heart of the Jewish quarter in Paris, or see the famous Louvre through the lens of the biblical characters that mark its walls.

A Jewish trip to Paris is an opportunity to see a contemporary community and learn about the spectacular city they have developed in. It’s the chance to enjoy the city of lights and discover a history unique to Parisian Jews.
