Israel warmly welcomes tourists. That means that there is a myriad of hotels to choose from in the country – whether you’d like one located in a contemporary or a historic building – or some of the best luxury and boutique hotels. There is most certainly something for everybody’s taste, and we’ve collected our favorite top-rated hotels in this list.

The Norman Tel Aviv

Situated in the center of Tel Aviv, the Norman Tel Aviv consists of two 1920s, brilliantly restored buildings at Nachmani Street, fusing the early 20th-century elements with 21st-century technology and comfort. Between the buildings, you’ll find a wonderful, fragrant citrus garden. The hotel features a rooftop pool, a fitness center, a wellness area, free Wi-Fi, free use of bicycles, a free shuttle service to the beach, beautiful and comfortable rooms, and much more. It’s located just 200m from Rothschild Boulevard and just a walk away from Shenkin Street, the Independence Hall Museum, and Nachlat Binyamin Pedestrian Mall.

The Beresheet Hotel, Mitzpe Ramon

The Beresheet Hotel is beautifully situated on a cliff at the edge of the Ramon Crater in Mitzpe Ramon. Its rooms come with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and a balcony with the most amazing views. Some have a private pool too. Guests can relax in a wellness center and an outdoor pool, and rent bicycles and segways.

Situated in the most beautiful area of Haifa, in the historic German colony established in 1868 by the German Templers, the Templers Boutique Hotel is housed in a 19th-century building. Palacio Domain Boutique Hotel, Safed

This charming and elegant hotel is located in the Galilee region, in the historical city of Safed, in the Artists’ Colony. As if that’s not amazing enough, it’s housed in the unique Palatial Mansion, superbly restored to the magnificence of the 12th-century palace it once was. Palacio Domain includes spacious lounges, a massage room, air-conditioned and brightly decorated suites with works of art on the walls, and much more. The hotel is near the art galleries and ancient synagogues of the Old City, and you can also explore the Galilee area, including Mount Hermon, Tiberias, and the Sea of Galilee.

Aria Hotel

ARIA is the perfect place to go when you want to visit the Red Sea. It’s close to the Eilat Promenade and some suites have their own private hot tubs on the balconies with views of the sea. For families, there are swimming pools for adults and children, private access to the beach for hotel guests, as well as a spa. ARIS has a rating of 5 stars by the official Israeli Ministry of Tourism hotel rating.

Waldorf Astoria, Jerusalem

This hotel is in the perfect location, only 500 meters from Jerusalem’s Old City and the Jaffa Gate. There are two restaurants. One of those, The Palace Restaurant, serves an extraordinary Israeli buffer breakfast in the mornings. King’s Court serves afternoon tea and drinks, and the Garden Terrace is a tapas bar. It’s also a great venue, with a dividable ballroom and a large foyer for cocktails.

 

Galei Kinneret Hotel

If you’re seeking a relaxing experience in Israel, this is the place to go. The Galei Kinnereth Hotel is located on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, with a view of the mountains in the Golan Heights. But what really sets this place apart are the exclusive spa facilities, covering more than 600 square meters and with 13 treatment rooms, a pool, Hammam, and a gym! This well-located hotel has exceptional rooms as well as a restaurant and bar. If you love music, Mamilla Hotel has venues throughout the space, showing a variety of music. It’s a luxury hotel at the center of the old and new parts of Jerusalem and is close to many great shopping and tourist sites such as the Western Wall and the Tower of David. There’s a Wellness Centre with hydro treatments in a watsu pool, Hammam treatments, and other spa experiences.

Market House

One of the more unique hotels in Israel, this one is built on the remains of a Byzantine Chapel and is the perfect site to view the ruins through the glass floor of the lobby. This is the perfect place if you want to explore the Jaffa market, and tries to feature works of art that reflect the excitement and vibrancy of the area. Guests have access to free bikes and a buffet restaurant, and the beach is only 300 meters away.
